This white wine was made from Scheurebe grapes. The Ribes has a subtle and racy aroma of blackcurrants and grapefruit. A crisp acidity underpins the fruit notes and gives the wine a lively freshness. The Scheurebe, also called Sämling 88, is a German cross between the Bouquet grape and the Riesling and was bred by Georg Scheu. It is a rarity in Switzerland; in Aargau, we are among the only growers of the Scheurebe, along with another vintner.
