This rosé was made from Gamaret grapes. It has a slight residual sweetness that is accompanied by an appealing acidity. Gamaro is a strong rosé with aromas of red berries. The Gamaret grape is a Swiss cross between Gamay and Reichensteiner and is grown especially in French-speaking Switzerland. The berries have a thick skin and a deep red colour. The grape variety is complex; it can be used on its own or as an assemblage. The red wines made from it are dark red and rich in tannins. Rosé wines made from Gamaret grapes are spicy and digestible.
