Pale ale is a British beer style that dates back to the 18th century. Thanks to advancing industrialization, it was now possible to produce lighter malts. This meant that lighter ("pale") beers could now be brewed.

Just as the British Pale Ale was once one of the first pale beers, our version is in fact the first beer from the CHEN + VAN LOON brewery.

Our Pale Ale was inspired by the Coopers Brewery in Australia. The combination of a traditionally malty Pale Ale and the use of modern hops such as Hercules, Amarillo and Citra has already made this copper-colored beer a classic.

Beneath the stable, creamy white foam lies the aromatic scent of light caramel, honey and fleeting citrus notes. A full-bodied, malty flavor unfolds with only a slight hint of tartness.
A fruity sweetness lies comfortably on the tongue and palate, while aromas of yellow stone fruit and caramel constantly dance in the mouth.

The delicately brewed bitterness builds up comfortably and disappears unnoticed with a cozy feeling.

You can literally taste it with every sip, the brewed English soul.
